Welcome to the Winter Classic!
Cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts, participate in the Winter Classic organized jointly by the Tournée des cantons de Rawdon’s (TDCR) and Canadiana Village on February 11th!
The event, which will be held under the theme of Valentine’s Day, will take place on the enchanting site of the Canadiana Village, located at 5751 Morgan Lake Road, in Rawdon. You are invited to wear red and hearts for the occasion!
To enhance the atmosphere, there will be a campfire and music in the heart of Canadiana Village.
The Sapré Charles foodtruck will be present from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., with different kinds of poutines (traditional, wild boar and turkey), cheeseburgers (vegetarian and bison), and fried Oreos for dessert.
And to quench your thirst, go to the saloon where you can buy mulled wine and grogs!
Courses and prices
Four ski courses and one snowshoe course are available (see descriptions below).
All courses start and finish at Canadiana Village.
There will be braziers with snacks on the trails.
Fees :
– Adults 19 years and older: $40
– Youth 13 to 18 years old: $20
– Children up to 12 years old: free

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to register for the Red Prospectors is February 6th. For logistical reasons, you must register in advance.
COURSE DETAILS
Classic Cross Country Skiing
- The Cupid – 5 km (Easy)
– Departure from Canadiana Village at any time, starting at 10 a.m.
– Ideal for families or cross-country skiers who want to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the campfire in the heart of Canadiana Village. - The Queen of Hearts – 12 km (Medium Difficulty)
– Departure from Canadiana Village at 9:30 am.
– Course on mechanically traced trails.
– Braséro on the course. - The King of Hearts – 15 km (Medium Difficulty)
– Start at 9:30 a.m.
– Same course as the Queen of Hearts, but with an additional challenge: a 3 km loop off-trail.Nordic off-trail skiing
- The RED Prospectors – 20 km (Difficult – Duration: 4 to 5 hours – DEADLINE TO REGISTER: February 6th)
– Arrival of participants at Canadiana Village: 8:00 a.m.
– A bus will pick up participants at Canadiana Village and bring them to Camp Maristes, where the raid starts. The bus leaves Canadiana Village at 9:00 am. Due to the length of the trip, it will not be possible to wait for latecomers.
– For experienced off-piste skiers who are self-sufficient and able to travel long distances in hilly and rugged terrain.
– Experienced guides at the front, middle and back of the pack will guide you to Canadiana Village.
– The course is not mechanically tracked and NOT marked: all skiers must start together and stay together.
– Off-trail (Nordic) skis with edges required. Classic cross-country skis are not recommended for this activity.
– Bring your own wax, lunch, snacks and water.Snowshoeing
- The Heart-Catcher – 3.5 km
– A bucolic route through the valleys of Canadiana Village.
– Departure from Canadiana Village at 10 a.m.
Walk
- Le Valentin – Free distance
Throughout the day, come discover or rediscover the charms of Canadiana Village by walking through the streets of this old village where many films and television series were shot. Finish your walk by going to the saloon for a beer!

The Tournée des cantons de Rawdon’s Winter Classic is a fundraising event. All funds are used to develop, maintain, and pave the TDCR trails.
In the event of rain, insufficient snow, or conditions deemed unsafe, portions of the routes may be modified or closed, or a hike will be offered. This is a fundraising day, so there will be NO REFUNDS if the event is changed or cancelled, or if you have to cancel your participation.
